The long-awaited trial for the Tempi railway tragedy begins today, Monday (23/3) at the Three-Member Court of Appeals for Felonies in Larissa, three years after the deadly accident of February 28, 2023, that plunged the entire country into mourning. From early morning, relatives of the victims gathered at the venue, including Nikos Plakias, who lost his twin daughters, Thomi and Chrysa, as well as his niece, Anastasia, in the tragedy.
Tempi: “I came to judge, and I will judge”, declared Nikos Plakias
When asked what he expects from the trial, Nikos Plakias commented: “We’ll see” and then added among other things: “I came to judge, and I will judge”.
