The new week begins with rain and cold, as the weather remains unstable, while on March 25th light rainfall is expected mainly in eastern and southern regions of the country, without severe phenomena that would significantly affect the parades.

According to the latest estimates from meteorologists, the rainfall will be mainly light and localized, with “signals” for severe phenomena remaining limited.
What weather to expect during the March 25th parade
According to meteorologist Theodoros Kolydas, as he mentions in his Facebook post, for Wednesday March 25th in Athens there is a possibility of light rain, however the amounts predicted are small, about 1–2 millimeters, and the probability of occurrence reaches around 45%.

There is no significant change in the weather scenario.
Since everyone wants to know the March 25th weather, I present the ECMWF forecasts which for Wednesday give us 1-2mm as average rainfall in Athens with 45% probability. The general picture shows that most periods of the week in Athens don’t have a strong rain signal, Friday is the day with the most significant probability for noteworthy rainfall and the remaining days give mainly light or local showers”.
Meanwhile, meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias notes in his personal Facebook post that “with umbrellas and light jackets for the student parades, as well as the military parade in Athens”.
In the weather forecast video from Alpha’s midday weather bulletin he emphasized: “Little umbrella at the parade, that’s the big picture” and added: “On Tuesday, during the student parade, we’ll have drizzle in Attica and most mainland areas, while on our national holiday we’ll have local showers again. We’ll have light snow in mountainous areas, while the Athens military parade will take place with drizzle, and light snow will fall in the mountains”.

Clouds are expected while local showers will occur mainly in mountainous areas of the mainland and Crete. Temperature in Western Macedonia will range from -1 to 10 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly and Epirus from 3 to 15, in Central Greece and the Peloponnese from 4 to 16, in the Ionian islands from 5 to 14, in the North and East Aegean islands from 6 to 16, in the Cyclades and Dodecanese from 10 to 17 and in Crete from 9 to 17 degrees Celsius.
Winds in the Aegean will blow from northern directions 4 to 6 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, winds will initially blow from variable directions up to 3 Beaufort but from the afternoon will become northern 2 to 4 Beaufort.
In Attica, clouds are expected with possibility of brief and light showers. Winds will initially blow from northern directions 2 to 4 Beaufort but from the afternoon will become variable up to 3 Beaufort. Temperature in central Athens will range from 9 to 16 degrees Celsius.
In Thessaloniki region, clouds are expected with possibility of brief and light showers. Winds will blow from variable directions up to 3 Beaufort. Temperature in central Thessaloniki will range from 9 to 13 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday’s weather 24-03-2026
In western areas increased clouds with local showers and sporadic thunderstorms in the Ionian Sea. Gradual improvement from late afternoon. In the rest of the country clouds temporarily increased with local showers and from late afternoon in Crete and possibly in Evia and the Cyclades also sporadic thunderstorms. Local snowfall will occur in mainland mountainous areas.
Winds will blow north-northeasterly 3 to 5 and in the Aegean locally 6 and from the afternoon gradually up to 7 Beaufort. Temperature will not show significant change. It will reach 14 to 16 in most areas of the country and locally in western mainland areas, the Dodecanese and southern Crete 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday’s weather 25-03-2026
In western areas almost clear weather with few temporary clouds mainly during midday and afternoon hours. In the rest of the country clouds temporarily increased with local showers. However, quickly in northern areas and gradually in other mainland areas the weather will improve and phenomena will be limited to the southern island areas in the afternoon, where they will stop during the night. Sporadic thunderstorms will occur until midday in Crete and possibly during early morning hours in Evia and the Cyclades. Light snow will fall in mainland mountainous areas until the afternoon.
Winds will blow from northern directions, in western areas 3 to 5, in eastern areas 4 to 6 and locally in the Aegean 7 Beaufort with slight weakening from the afternoon. Temperature will show a slight rise.
Thursday’s weather 26-03-2026
In western areas few clouds that will gradually increase and local showers will occur while in the evening sporadic thunderstorms will develop in northern areas. In the rest of the country generally clear weather with sparse clouds, locally and periodically denser. Visibility in the early morning hours in western mainland areas will be locally limited.
Winds will initially blow from northern directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean locally up to 6 Beaufort, but gradually and from western areas will turn to west-southwesterly 4 to 6 Beaufort. Temperature will show a slight further rise.
Friday’s weather 27-03-2026
Clouds temporarily increased with local showers in most of the country. Sporadic thunderstorms will occur initially in western areas, gradually in northern areas and in the evening also in East Aegean islands. Snowfall will occur in mainland mountainous areas.
Winds will blow west-southwesterly 4 to 6 and in open seas locally 7 Beaufort. Temperature will show a drop, mainly in western areas.
