Alert was raised in Patras following reports of an explosion that occurred on Monday afternoon (9/3) at a factory in the Perivola area. According to the Patras Emergency Response Center, the explosion occurred at a factory specializing in the production of oxygen for industrial and medical use. Initial reports indicate that there were no injuries.
According to witnesses speaking to Patrapress.gr, “a powerful explosion was heard, it was felt all the way to Ano Souli. The house shook.” Another eyewitness reported that “it was like a plane had crashed“.
