A new revealing documentary video depicts an incident that occurred a year ago between the 50-year-old victim and his son at the garage where the shocking crime took place in Leros. As shown in the footage, the 18-year-old gets off his motorcycle and then his father approaches and hits him in the face, with the son trying to avoid the blows.
What the grandfather of the parricide in Leros revealed
Speaking exclusively to Live News, Mr. Dimitris, father of the 50-year-old victim and grandfather of the young parricide, mentioned that both men were aggressive, while regarding his grandson he said he showed problematic behavior from a young age: “My grandson was harsh, aggressive. He wouldn’t listen, he created problems since he was a small child. My son, may he rest in peace, was also aggressive.” “I’ve heard that he hit him. Not that he hit him hard. He would send him to get a spare part to take a ride and he would return after three hours. My grandson had started smoking when he was young. I hadn’t been to Leros for three and a half years because I had my mother here, and then I went to Leros and saw my grandson with a cigarette. He mentioned that his grandson was following in his father’s footsteps, referring to the car repair shop. As he characteristically states, he expected something bad to happen, however he didn’t believe it would go as far as murder. “I expected something to happen. I told my son ‘why is the child smoking? Don’t you talk to them?’. ‘What can I do to him, since I talk to him and he doesn’t understand? We try the good way, we try the bad way, he doesn’t listen to me.
