Authorities continue their investigation into the case of the body found on Thursday afternoon (26/02) in an advanced state of decomposition in a forested area in Glarokavos, Kassandra, Halkidiki. Answers are expected from the forensic examination scheduled to take place today at noon in Thessaloniki.

It should be recalled that the body was found in an area where cleaning work was being carried out, while police were notified by the president of the local community, who was informed about the macabre discovery. From the initial assessment by police, the body parts were wrapped in bags, while a suitcase was also found at the same location. The body was wearing a ring on the hand, a finding that may prove crucial for identification.
So far, it has not been possible to determine either the gender or age of the victim. However, it is estimated that death occurred some time ago. The preliminary investigation by Polygyros Security is in full progress.
