Following the arrival of the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford at Souda Bay, an anti-war protest demonstration was held in Chania. On Tuesday afternoon, unions, associations and citizens gathered for the demonstration that started from the Municipal Market.
With banners and slogans against NATO, according to flashnews, the participants condemned the presence of the aircraft carrier in Chania while continuing to demand the closure of military bases both at Souda Bay and throughout the country.
After the rally, a march followed through the city center.
