A serious accident occurred Saturday afternoon at a taverna in the Pandrosor settlement in Rhodope, when a section of the floor collapsed, dragging customers into the void. According to initial reports, the floor of part of the establishment gave way, causing customers sitting at four different tables to suddenly find themselves in a void.

Eight people hospitalized in Komotini after restaurant floor collapse
Fire department units and ambulances from the National Emergency Center rushed to the scene, transporting eight people to Komotini Hospital. Two of them will remain in the hospital today as a precaution, while the rest were discharged. It should be noted that their health condition is not cause for concern. The remaining customers are in good health, despite the shock they experienced.

Greek police arrested the two owners of the taverna where the floor collapsed in Komotini, resulting in injuries to eight people who, along with other customers, found themselves in the void.
