One by one, all the individuals who in one way or another, directly or indirectly, knew things about the murdered Polish professor, Psamek Yiziorski, are expected to appear before police authorities. In recent hours, homicide detectives have been scrutinizing the partner of the victim’s ex-wife. This man reportedly has a steady relationship with the economist turned businesswoman, who is the ex-wife of the 43-year-old victim of the Agia Paraskevi ambush, and at the high floors of GADA they are absorbing every detail, every piece that could be crucial for forming the bigger picture. According to sources, his statement was made yesterday (7/7) at GADA.
As experienced officers tell parapolitika.gr, no suspects have been identified in any case and everyone who has appeared before them is being examined with a clear view and without suspicion. Following the same approach will be the examination of even the specialists who cared for the 43-year-old Berkeley University professor’s family.
The former couple had two children who were monitored by specialist child psychologists. This was deemed necessary when mother and father decided to go their separate ways, with the mother returning to Greece after a turbulent divorce from the unfortunate professor. This appointment had been scheduled for today, which would have taken place, except for the shocking unforeseen circumstances.
Similar in nature was the lengthy examination of the ex-wife, as it is confirmed that for several hours, homicide officers went through all the incidents the woman remembered, thus gradually forming the bigger picture. It should be noted, however, that from the ex-wife’s environment it is leaked that the 43-year-old man during their life together had displayed abusive behavior and faced problems with alcohol.
At the center of the discussion with police was the framework of communication between the former couple and how the satisfaction of the 43-year-old’s right to see his children had been agreed upon. A previous incident had prompted the woman to impose a ban on the children leaving the country and that if her ex-husband wanted to see them, he would have to come to Greece.
Meanwhile, the same path is expected to be followed, if it hasn’t already been followed, by the 43-year-old’s brother, who arrived from Poland. As the closest relative, he will receive information about the incident but will simultaneously be questioned about what he knew about his brother.

Agia Paraskevi murder: What concerns the authorities
On the other hand, there are quite a few questions that have been formed, at least in the first stage of the preliminary investigation, and police are called to answer them. Interest was sparked by the fact that the 43-year-old professor had made some difficult and demanding – for diplomatic reasons – trips to Latin America and Southeast Asia, which those who knew him presented as recreational trips.
However, it is significant and complicates the reasoning of police authorities that the 43-year-old professor had no apparent connection with underworld figures, while the “hit”… screams “professional”. After all, the person who killed the unfortunate man knew his route, from Kolonaki where he had rented an AirBnb apartment, to Agia Paraskevi where his ex-wife lives to pick up his children. And this version is “murky”, given that although there is information suggesting the two had an appointment for the handover of the children, the family appears to have been absent from the house. Moreover, if they were in the area, it would most likely have been that they would have noticed the commotion that occurred on the afternoon of last Friday (4/7) on the otherwise quiet Eirinis Street. As a result, the identification process by the authorities would have been easier, which truthfully went through… rocky paths.
In this context, the contacts he had made during previous trips to our country will also be put on the table. The 43-year-old on one hand came to see his children, at least once a year, on the other hand had been involved in business activity together with his ex-wife, with whom notably he was in court over custody and communication with their children.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the weapon used for the murder is of particular interest to authorities. Although it hasn’t been located so far, there are assessments that speak of an old 9mm Tokarev, which possibly, if confirmed, significantly narrows the field of targeting for homicide officers. More will certainly emerge once the forensic laboratories of DEE complete their research, on one hand on the at least five shell casings found at the scene, but also on the mobile phones of the two former spouses, as well as on the video material collected mainly in the last two 24-hour periods by homicide police. It should be noted, however, that reports about an accomplice to the perpetrator are being treated with caution but are not confirmed one hundred percent.
