Chios: How the domestic violence incident occurred
Everything happened early Tuesday afternoon, when the 33-year-old began violently hitting the 19-year-old woman on the head. Fortunately for her, at that moment an off-duty police officer who serves at the customs office was passing by and heard the 33-year-old verbally abusing and hitting her. The 19-year-old was pleading for help. The police officer stopped and attempted to arrest the perpetrator but he fled. He then transported the 19-year-old to Chios Hospital to receive first aid. Criminal charges have been filed against the 33-year-old for domestic violence while the 19-year-old requested a Panic Button for her protection. Information suggests the couple lived together while the 19-year-old had previously been at “The Ark of the World” and now lives alone in Chios.
