The anxiety and mystery surrounding the disappearance of 33-year-old doctor Alexis Tsikopoulos, who has been missing for exactly two months since December 7, 2025, in Crete have intensified. The show “Light in the Tunnel” brought to light a development that, according to his friends, is not a sign of positive news. According to testimony from someone who spoke to MEGA, the instagram and facebook accounts of the 33-year-old were activated through the Threads app, leading to the conclusion that someone else is using his accounts. This activation occurred last Saturday, January 31, with his friend sending it as a screenshot to the show.

33-year-old’s disappearance in Crete: “How did he go straight to social media?”
The man said characteristically to the show: “I received a notification on instagram and facebook, as threads connects through them, that Alexis started using it. It’s like someone entered his account and activated it. I discussed it with another friend of ours, as the three of us were together at the hospital as residents. She was also puzzled. When you work with someone under such conditions, especially in surgical specialization, you bond. You become family. We spent countless hours together. We wondered with the other girl if someone opened his phone; but again, how did he go straight to social media? It was something completely unexpected. I don’t know if he could have disappeared without notifying anyone, especially after I learned from his family that he had gone missing before, even if just for a few hours. I didn’t know something like that. What we hear now, none of us knew, not even people who were closer to him… I consider him capable of anything. Even this.”
“On Saturday I received a notification on my phone that Alexis started using Threads. Despite my shock, I managed to take a screenshot and sent you the photo. Going into his profile, it showed he was active just ten minutes earlier. All this deeply disturbed me. Is there someone accessing his accounts? And if so, why? To delete evidence? What exactly is happening? That’s why I sent them to you immediately. If someone is using his profile or if, incredible as it sounds, it’s him, then we’re talking about something very serious. Does the police have access? Can’t the Cybercrime Unit determine what’s happening? After all this, my mind increasingly goes to the worst scenario. That someone has harmed him. Where exactly did he go? Did they place the car there deliberately to mislead people?” he continued.
“One of the best people I’ve ever met”
The “Light in the Tunnel” report includes another testimony from an alleged friend of Alexis Tsikopoulos. The man reportedly lives permanently abroad. He expressed admiration for his personality and spoke about a possible relationship with a woman: “I’ve known Alexis since 2017. I met him through my cousin, who is his close friend. They worked together at the Skiathos Health Center. This kid was a diamond… One of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. One day before he disappeared, he had spoken with my cousin. He was asking what she would do for Christmas. He told her he was fine, but his mind had become “soup” from studying. She had told me he was upset. He had broken up from the relationship he was in. They were together for about eight months and she was studying, a final year student, in Patras…”
As he mentioned, he had met Alexis after his breakup and had realized how deeply it had affected him: “He always spoke about her with respect. Since then I don’t know if he made any other serious relationship. He only talked about casual encounters. In the summer, I know he had gone to Gavdos with two girls and had a wonderful time. He was a quiet person. He would never harm himself.”
