Two men, including a 59-year-old former AEK footballer, were arrested by police in Acharnes. The former athlete, who wore the yellow and black jersey in the 1980s and is reportedly of Cypriot origin, was found in possession of a makeshift paper package containing heroin weighing 0.8 grams and another improvised paper package containing crack cocaine weighing 0.2 grams. Additionally, one person reportedly escaped but has since been identified. The 59-year-old was previously arrested in 2003 by the Tripoli Security Department for the same reason – for trafficking 300 grams of cocaine, 1,972 grams of raw cannabis, and 300 grams of heroin – as well as illegal weapons possession.

In fact, there are charges against him dating back to 1994. All charges involve possession and/or trafficking of narcotics. During the searches conducted, the following items were confiscated from the defendants’ possession and from residences:
* heroin weighing 0.8 grams,
* crack cocaine weighing 0.2 grams,
* cash amounting to 4,037 euros,
* mobile phone device,
* fully functional audio and video recording system, consisting of 7 security cameras, recording device, television monitor and digital coin counter.
