A shocking video has emerged from the Egnatia Highway near Veria. An 89-year-old driver traveled in his car for 10 entire kilometers against traffic flow. The video posted on TikTok shows the 89-year-old driver moving against traffic on the Egnatia Highway outside Veria. During his dangerous journey, he encountered a 50-year-old female driver who, in her attempt to avoid him, crashed her car into the guardrail, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization in Veria.

89-year-old drove wrong way for 10 kilometers on Egnatia Highway
It all began when the elderly driver entered the highway in the wrong direction from the Veria junction and traveled in the right lane, specifically in the fast lane used by vehicles traveling in the correct direction. After covering approximately 10 kilometers and causing the traffic accident with the 50-year-old driver, he exited the Egnatia Highway at the Koulouras junction, where police officers who had been notified immobilized him. Criminal charges were filed against him for dangerous driving, causing bodily harm through negligence, and violations of the Traffic Code. According to Traffic Police data, the incident occurred at noon on January 28th.
