Farmers are preparing to take to the streets once again, just two weeks after ending their protests. Representatives of the nationwide committee, at today’s meeting held in Nikaia, decided on a mass descent with tractors to Athens, while also planning corresponding demonstrations within cities on Monday and Tuesday.

The producers believe that the government heard their demands, but without providing substantial solutions to the basic problems they face. At the center of their concerns are compensation for lost income and the issue of livestock farmer vaccination for foot-and-mouth disease, which they argue has left many professionals in the sector facing financial deadlock.
