The motives behind the murder of a 27-year-old man, whose body was discovered at noon in a stream in Nea Peramos, remain unknown. The victim was kidnapped last Monday outside his home in Elefsina, with his partner as an eyewitness. The woman reported to police that security cameras captured four unknown men forcibly putting him into a car. A license plate check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from Thessaloniki. Video footage revealed on a central news bulletin captured the abduction moment by moment. The material clearly shows one of the perpetrators carrying a weapon, while the others immobilize the 27-year-old and violently force him into the vehicle before disappearing from the scene.
27-year-old abduction: Multiple gunshots and attempted burning
Officers from the Homicide Department believe the perpetrators transported the victim directly to where he was found dead and shot him there. According to the initial forensic examination, the 27-year-old suffered wounds from multiple bullets in different parts of his body, while two shell casings from a 9mm weapon were found at the crime scene. The perpetrators reportedly attempted to burn the corpse but failed to do so. Initially, kidnapping for ransom was being examined, however there was no communication with the family, which rules out this scenario. The 27-year-old operated a personnel management company and had never been of interest to authorities. Police investigations are mainly focused on his professional environment, with officers examining the possibility of financial disputes as the primary motive.
