At the Parliament and specifically at the Special Secretariat of the Parliament President, shortly after 11:30 AM on Monday, the president of the “Tempe 2023” Association Maria Karystianou, the Papangeli family and their lawyer arrived to submit a memorandum with 1.3 million citizen signatures calling for the abolition of parliamentary immunity.
“We want impunity to stop. We await what Parliament will do with our request,” emphasized Mrs. Karystianou speaking to parliamentary reporters as she exited the office of the Parliament President’s Special Secretariat. Indeed, during their departure from Parliament, Mrs. Karystianou and the other people who accompanied her stood in the surrounding area of Parliament and observed a minute of silence.
