A criminal gang that committed robberies and thefts, primarily targeting convenience stores in West Attica, has been dismantled. The operation was carried out through cooperation between GADA services, with participation from the West Attica Crime Investigation and Detection Subdivision, as well as the Haidari and Aigaleo Departments. Two members, aged 19 and 21, were arrested on Friday morning, January 23, in Haidari.
One day before their arrest, the same individuals allegedly robbed a store in Haidari, stealing money from an employee at gunpoint and knifepoint. Criminal charges have been filed against them for forming a criminal organization, robberies and thefts (completed and attempted), weapons law violations, aggravated assault, and drug offenses.

Parapolitika.gr obtained exclusive video footage of the young robbers in action, who as shown in the footage were completely professional, remarkably composed, and in some cases even carried away entire cash registers. Notably, in one of these cases, the store owner chased them with a fire extinguisher in hand but failed to stop them.
According to the preliminary investigation, they had been operating at least since early 2025, targeting illegal financial gain. Regarding their method of operation, mainly after midnight until dawn, they selected stores that operated during those hours, often after conducting surveillance or having connections to the locations (former employment/visits). They entered wearing balaclavas and masks, immobilized employees with guns and knives, and grabbed cash amounts. In several cases, they first stole motorcycles, which they used for approach and escape. In one instance, the perpetrators injured an employee with an airgun.

During searches of their homes, authorities confiscated action clothing, 7 gas cartridges for airguns, 2 grinders, and small amounts of cannabis.
Surprisingly, they had hidden an airgun, knife, and gloves in a bushy area within a school courtyard in Haidari. So far, 17 cases have been solved in Haidari, Aigaleo, and Peristeri.
The arrested individuals were brought before the competent prosecutor.
