Drivers will need to be armed with patience on Kifisias Avenue in the southbound direction as traffic is moving with tremendous difficulty due to a traffic accident near Hygeia Hospital. As revealed by parapolitika.gr, a motorcycle collided with the rear of a vehicle traveling in the middle lane of Kifisias Avenue just meters before the “Hygeia” hospital.

The vehicle and motorcycle, as shown in the video footage, have remained immobilized in the middle lane, forcing following vehicles to move either right or left to continue their journey. Police are already at the collision scene and a tow truck is expected to remove them. Traffic in the Athens-bound direction starts from the Kifisia-Marousi border and continues to the accident site. However, both the southbound and northbound directions – from Athens toward Kifisia – show no improvement. Vehicles are moving at low speeds and the situation is difficult. On Attiki Odos, according to the latest traffic police update, traffic is heavy in both directions. The most significant problems appear in the Elefsina-bound direction, up to Exit 8.
