The controversial video that is now circulating online is under the microscope of authorities, depicting a female police officer conducting reckless shootings, sparking a new round of discussions. The person appears to be police officer Elena Bobou, a uniformed officer who had previously been in the public spotlight due to a series of troubling incidents.

Elena Bobou: The scenarios behind the reckless shooting video
As shown in the video, the blonde police officer who serves at a police station in Piraeus, raises a 9mm pistol, likely an H&K USP and fires from a relative height but at an angle below 45 degrees from the ground, at least 13 times, essentially emptying the weapon’s magazine. The video was recently aired on the show “Truths with Zina,” prompting immediate intervention from the Hellenic Police Headquarters, which issued a related announcement: “Regarding video material that was broadcast on a midday television show, in which it was reported that a female police officer conducted reckless shootings, the Hellenic Police Headquarters announces that the aforementioned visual material is already being examined by the competent Service of the Hellenic Police, both regarding its authenticity and the place and time of its recording. Simultaneously, the prescribed procedures for criminal and disciplinary investigation are being initiated, so that if responsibilities arise, they will be attributed according to current legislation.”
Internal affairs investigation underway
According to information obtained from police sources at parapolitika.gr, the video has been placed under the microscope of Criminological Laboratories. Several useful elements have emerged that could form a case, however, as the same sources report, further investigation is required to deliver a complete report to the competent services that will conduct the overall investigation and deliver all collected material to the prosecutor. Authorities are currently examining whether the video is authentic in the first phase. This appears to be the case according to information, and it doesn’t seem to be a video that has been edited or created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. From the investigation conducted, it’s estimated that the material is two or three years old, without it being clear whether it’s footage recorded in Greece or abroad. It’s speculated that it may have been “shot” in Crete since the police officer has indirect connections to the island, while the phenomenon of celebratory gunfire clearly points to the region. Among other things, it will be examined whether the weapon she uses is a service weapon or not.
Why now?
The leak of this video also has its significance, given that for a long time the police officer has been in a subdued dispute with her partner, also a police officer. After all, only a few weeks have passed since Elena Bobou herself had published a video showing her being attacked by her partner in a nightclub. She had actually combined that specific video with a personal confession where through TikTok and Instagram she narrated what she had endured at the hands of her partner.
Information suggests that the video leak may constitute retaliation for the aforementioned complaint-confession and it’s also possible that we have a “war” between the “Roses” who are undoubtedly at odds after all this. In any case, everything happening around the couple doesn’t honor either of them, regardless of the severity of each incident, and it’s said that there is considerable dissatisfaction in the Force, as their actions reflect on it. Moving forward, it’s clear that within the coming weeks the internal investigation will proceed, which will bring the young police officer to account, independently of course from the other case which is also being examined separately and concerns her estranged partner.
