New Year’s Day turned “white” for many island regions of the country, including Naxos, Lemnos, Tinos and Samothrace. Specifically, according to tinostoday, winter conditions prevailed on New Year’s Day in the mountainous areas of Tinos. In the villages of Arnados, Triantaros, Dio Choria, Falatados, Steni, Kechros and Mesi, due to altitude and low temperatures, temporary snowfall phenomena were observed, with snow settling in places for a limited period of time.
