Traffic police are conducting a barrage of alcohol tests on drivers during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period, aiming to reduce incidents of driving under the influence of alcohol. Yesterday, New Year’s Eve, from 06:00 until 06:00 today (1.1.2026) in Attica, a total of 6,129 alcohol tests were conducted. From these checks, 62 tested positive.
