A tragic incident took place around 2 PM in the Kypseli area of Athens, when an elderly couple, according to reports, got into an argument for unknown reasons. The man attacked his wife with a knife and then ended his own life by jumping from the apartment building’s rooftop.
According to initial reports, the couple had an argument in a basement apartment on Lokrida Street. There, the man took a knife and struck his wife in the neck. He then went to the building’s rooftop and jumped to his death. At the same time, emergency services arrived at the scene and found the woman still alive, transferring her with serious injuries to “G. Gennimatas” Hospital, where doctors are making every effort to save her life.
A preliminary investigation is currently underway to determine the causes and circumstances under which this incident occurred.
