Hellenic Train is coordinating with the Greek Police regarding its bus routes connecting Volos to Larissa and whether they can operate, due to farmer blockades. Following the practical delay of route C1579, which was scheduled to depart from Volos at 15:50, the company determined that the blockades of national highways and side roads are causing significant disruptions. Police instructions were clear, therefore the company announced that “bus routes C2571 and C2572 on the Volos-Larissa-Volos route will not operate due to traffic interruption caused by farmer mobilizations.”
It’s worth noting that route C1579 has not yet reached its destination. However, the company announced that “bus routes C2573, departing at 21:10 from Volos, and C2574, departing at 21:45 from Larissa, will operate normally, according to current updates from the Greek Police. Hellenic Train maintains constant communication and cooperation with relevant authorities and makes every possible effort to provide the best service to passengers.”
