Another tragic incident occurred on the streets of Athens, in Nea Filadelfia, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old motorcycle rider. According to police sources, the unfortunate young man collided with a trolley, resulting in serious injuries.
Fatal traffic accident in Nea Filadelfia: Motorcyclist killed
The incident occurred shortly before 02:40, when under circumstances unknown at this time, in the area of Nea Filadelfia and specifically on Dekelias Avenue, the young rider’s motorcycle collided with the trolley, which had no passengers, only the driver.
The 27-year-old was reportedly wearing a helmet, however this was not enough to protect him. Both the Police and EKAB arrived at the scene, with paramedics transporting the 27-year-old to the Red Cross hospital. There the tragic death of the young man was confirmed.
The preliminary investigation to examine the tragic incident was undertaken by the 3rd Traffic Police Department of Northeast Attica.
