The president of Silver Alert Greece, Gerasimos Kouriouklis, made his own revelations about the disappearance of 33-year-old doctor Alexis Tsikopoulos, missing for ten days, and the arrest of 54-year-old C.P., speaking to parakritika.gr. Kouriouklis reveals how he was deceived by the 54-year-old professor who convinced him that using a “global patent” technology, he could locate the missing person. Regarding the disappearance case, for which he had reported on Mega’s Live News show that there was a development with a possible location of Alexis in Chania, Kouriouklis noted that a Silver Alert colleague informed him that the 54-year-old had sent coordinates – through the special device he was using – indicating the doctor was located on Monday afternoon in Stivanadika in Chania’s old town.
“I spoke with him on the phone and informed him that DIAS police unit officers would go to the location to search. They arrived there, but couldn’t enter a warehouse he pointed out, despite it having a broken window. I told him I would notify the prosecutor. They eventually entered the warehouse – I think one officer was even injured – but nothing was found,” added Kouriouklis.
“The next morning I called him and he said he was at Chania Security Police. I spoke with the Police Director, told him about the past and the relationship with the 54-year-old. I provided details to the Security Commander. There were apparently some cooperation agreements with the Panhellenic Alzheimer’s Association, but at a different level,” he added.
Missing doctor in Crete: What the Silver Alert president says about the 54-year-old’s arrest
As he also said on television, Kouriouklis repeated to parakritika.gr that the 54-year-old requested 5,000 euros from the missing doctor’s mother, while contact with the family was made through the Panhellenic Federation president, Magda Tsolaki, who is friends with the 33-year-old’s mother.
“We at Silver Alert issued an announcement about the doctor’s disappearance and he called me to complain that I hadn’t informed him, but learned about the incident from Ms. Tsolaki,” he added.
Moreover, Kouriouklis noted that he had seen the 54-year-old once in Athens, during an initial meeting, but never saw the equipment he used, despite Silver Alert requesting it.
“Since we couldn’t see the equipment, I asked him to proceed with practical applications of his technology in three cases and if there were results, we would proceed with cooperation. We even provided accommodation, car and food! However, he also asked for money to cover… consumables. Specifically, 12,000 euros for the three cases, regardless of the search results. I replied that we didn’t have that amount and he would have to wait to find someone who would provide it to find their person. We don’t do transactions,” added Kouriouklis.
Silver Alert president’s “apology”
The Silver Alert president requested that his apology be conveyed to the family, the services searching for the 33-year-old, and all those anxiously awaiting developments in the doctor’s disappearance.
“We work in cooperation with the Greek Police and prosecutors. If I hadn’t announced that someone was using an ‘alternative’ technological method to find missing persons, then today the mother might have given him the 5,000 euros, he would be free and possibly deceiving others in the future. I apologize to everyone and appeal for searches to continue, hoping Alexis will be found alive.”
According to information received by parakritika.gr, the 54-year-old is reportedly involved at an investigative level in another disappearance case.
This involves the disappearance of a 75-year-old woman in Chania, which has occupied authorities for over three years, having literally vanished from the face of the earth.
Who is the arrested 54-year-old
The same sources report that a request was made for assistance from the relevant police department, by prosecutor’s order, in the 54-year-old’s searches for the elderly woman.
Kouriouklis noted he knew about the case, as the 54-year-old had mentioned that he was also updating Security Police about his search progress.
It’s also unknown whether he requested any monetary amount from the elderly woman’s family for his searches.
An impressive resume accompanies the 54-year-old, which has been posted on social media.
The 54-year-old appears to head a Scientific Research Institute in Zurich, Switzerland, which is presented as having been awarded for its programs by organizations in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.
The Institute offers degrees at all levels in various fields of health sciences, engineering and technology, international relations, diplomacy and security.
There is also information about distinguished Institute graduates who hold high-level positions in internationally renowned companies and organizations, earning doctoral and master’s degrees.
He appears to have previously collaborated with ELMEPA, ITE, the University of Crete Medical School, the National Technical University of Athens and finally Silver Alert Greece, while apparently maintaining impressive offices – according to neighbors – in a suburban area of Chania.
