Regarding the bloody confrontation that unfolded at the 15th school in Kypseli earlier on Monday (15/12) where a 14-year-old student was lightly injured in the hand, the sister of the girl who stabbed her classmate spoke out. The serious incident of school violence began when two groups of students decided to settle their differences with knives inside the school premises.
Bloody confrontation in Kypseli: She called her ‘junkie’, ‘dirty’
Specifically, speaking about the shocking incident, the perpetrator’s sister gave her own version, claiming that the attack was not unprovoked, but was the result of verbal abuse, with her sister as the victim. “They just provoke her and today she heard that they were cursing her at school” she said characteristically, describing what preceded the attack. According to her description, her sister received offensive characterizations: “She called her ‘junkie’, ‘dirty’ and ‘what is she doing here’ and such things”. She wanted to defend her sister’s character, emphasizing: “She’s not crazy to go and attack her. She’s a fine girl, I don’t see anything strange. Generally she doesn’t do anything without being provoked“.
Regarding the student’s past and the change of school environment, her sister confirmed that an incident had occurred at her old school, but downplayed its extent. “At her old school she fought with the teacher, shouted at her and threw coffee at her as a reaction. That’s it, nothing else happened” she noted, adding that at the new school they didn’t know her past since she had been going for a very short period of time.

“I went down to drink water and many children had gathered and it was her who stabbed the girl. And she was just talking and takes out the ‘butterfly’ from her pocket and just touches it to her belly —I didn’t know what it was— and then I see her stabbing her in the belly and then in the hand. She thought that the girl who got stabbed called her a ‘junkie’, when she didn’t call her that. And that’s why it happened and she stabbed her. I saw blood falling on the floor,” said a student who was present at the bloody confrontation explaining the timeline of the attack.
“It was her first day at school. She had left the 38th school, had changed school environment, where she had stabbed two other children. And she came and on the first day she’s there, she stabbed this girl too. It hasn’t happened again, especially stabbing,” the witness of the incident added.
The confrontation, according to testimonies from other students, was fierce. At least four students clashed, with the 14-year-old student being lightly injured in the hand. She received first aid in the principal’s office, while police officers from the local department arrived on the scene. According to information from parapolitika.gr, the 14-year-old is in good condition, having only abrasions on her hand. She was transported to the “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital. Meanwhile, police officers from the DI.AS. unit and other services are conducting searches to locate the children who participated in the confrontation. The minor is expected to give a statement shortly regarding the causes of the confrontation.
