A total of 17 people were arrested out of 20 brought in for questioning, including 8 minors and 9 adults, as police completed their operation at the Roma community camp in Riganokampos on Wednesday (03/12), as well as in houses across various areas of Patras and Western Achaia.
The operation involved more than 40 police officers, with assistance from the Immediate Action Unit, OPKE special forces, and the Support Unit, while drones from the Hellenic Police were also used for area surveillance.
The operations led to the dismantling of a criminal organization allegedly involved in residential and commercial burglaries, vehicle theft, and robberies of money and items from citizens, with more than 70 cases confirmed by police according to their investigation.
