The police investigation, according to the same sources, surprised the decimated service in Piraeus, which now operates with acting head Ms. Tsakri and forensic pathologist Socrates Tsantiris. At the time of the search, forensic pathologist Mr. Tsantiris was present at the morgue and handed over to police officers what they were seeking.
The police mobilization raised concerns, with news of the investigation reaching the relevant offices of the Forensic Service at the Ministry of Justice. This was an order from the Prosecutor’s Office within the framework of investigating the proper functioning of forensic services, stated police officers familiar with this particular investigation.
