Real chaos erupted among young people last Sunday evening in Varkiza. Specifically, two groups of youths came to blows, exchanging punches, kicks, and knife attacks over a woman, according to initial information from the police investigation. This is at least what some of those involved claim to maintain. All those now occupying the attention of authorities are young people aged 16 to 20 years from various countries.

The incident occurred around 7:30 PM on Sunday. On one side were two individuals from Pakistan aged 16 and 17, and a 17-year-old Bulgarian. On the other side were at least four youths, aged 16 to 19, of Greek and Albanian origin. During the clash, the two Pakistanis sustained injuries from a sharp object. One of them was wounded in the abdominal area, shoulder, and arm, while the other was also injured in the abdominal area. Both were transported to Asklepieion Hospital in Voula, while later one of them was transferred to Children’s Hospital. Their lives are not in danger.
At the same time, two young Greeks of similar age were brought to the Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni Police Station, and it was found that they had injuries from punches and kicks. In total, seven young people were brought in, plus a 20-year-old of Greek origin who was located later and is believed to have been involved in the incident. The preliminary investigation continues to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
