The Independent Authority for Public Revenue continues its inspections of Tax Declaration Centers across Greece, during which high rates of tax evasion have emerged, reaching 100% in 58 of these centers.

AADE crackdown: Fines and closures for 42 tax centers over evasion
Specifically, inspections were carried out at Tax Declaration Centers operating in Thessaloniki, Drama, Kilkis, Serres, Kozani, Kavala, Chalkidiki, Florina, Heraklion Prefecture, Argos, Tripoli, Grevena, Orestiada, Alexandroupoli, Feres, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Sparta, Larissa, Samos, Trikala, Komotini and Xanthi.
As revealed, 45,200 receipts or invoices had not been issued, with concealed revenue of 3.2 million euros, resulting in fines totaling 414,000 euros being imposed on the violators.
Additionally, 48-hour business closures were imposed in 42 cases. Specifically:
- 8 tax centers in Heraklion
- 7 centers in Kilkis
- 4 centers in Larissa
- 2 tax centers each in Trikala, Kefalonia, Grevena, Thessaloniki and Drama
- 1 tax center each in Samos, Sparta, Zakynthos, Argos, Agrinio, Edessa, Xanthi, Serres, Komotini, Florina, Kozani, Chalkidiki and Katerini.
