The countdown has begun for the payment of the A21 child benefit. This marks the fourth installment since early 2025, which will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts on Tuesday, September 30th. However, as with all OPEKA benefits, after 5:00 PM on the previous working day, Monday (29/9), is when the A21 child benefit becomes available at ATMs.
Child benefit 2025: How the amount is calculated
The amount from the fourth installment of the A21 benefit is calculated based on the number of children and the beneficiary’s income category. Specifically:
- For the first and second child, €70, €42, or €28 are granted monthly.
- From the third child onwards, the amount is €140, €84, or €56 respectively.
Where and how to submit the application
The application for the A21 child benefit is submitted electronically each year through IDIKA or OPEKA by the person liable for tax declaration or their spouse using TaxisNet codes. Important! After logging into the application, AMKA confirmation and consent for data processing of the applicant and family members is required. Next, complete the form with family status and necessary details such as identity, address, telephone, and IBAN of the bank account where the A21 child benefit payments will be credited. Note that married couples or those separated also declare their spouse’s tax number and AMKA. The A21 application constitutes a statutory declaration and contains pre-filled data that requires final confirmation from the beneficiary before system submission.
