Specifically, according to the ministry’s official announcement, from Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to Friday, September 19, 2025, interested students can take advantage of this second opportunity. It should be noted that new applications for the student housing allowance for the academic year 2024-2025 can be submitted by those who did not participate in the initial deadline that lasted from June 30 to July 31, 2025.

Second chance for student housing allowance: Detailed requirements
For the 2025 student housing allowance, the basic requirements include studying in a different city from the main residence, rented accommodation for at least 6 months, passing half of the previous year’s courses, and neither the parents nor the student owning properties exceeding 200 sq.m. (with exceptions). Additionally, the student must be a Greek citizen or EU citizen, have an Academic Identity Card and Tax Registration Number (AFM), and have submitted a tax declaration for 2024.
