Starting Wednesday, September 10, the electronic platform is available for submitting applications for the DYPA special seasonal allowance for 2025. Workers in specific sectors can now proceed with their application, while from September 23, submission through KEP offices will also be possible.
Who is not eligible for the DYPA seasonal allowance
It’s important for interested parties to know that those who meet the criteria for regular unemployment benefits during the period from September 10 to November 30, 2025, cannot receive the special seasonal allowance. The only exception is construction workers, who are entitled to both benefits.
How to apply for the seasonal allowance
The application process is conducted exclusively through the gov.gr electronic platform. Interested parties can find the service by following this path: Work and insurance, then Unemployment, and finally DYPA Special Seasonal Allowance. Which professions are eligible for the allowance
According to the official announcement, eligible recipients of the special seasonal allowance are e-EFKA insured individuals who practice specific professions:
• Construction workers, quarry workers, lime makers, tile makers, brick makers, and potters
• Forest workers, resin collectors, and tobacco workers
• Musicians who are members of professional associations and shoe workers
• Shipyard repair zone employees and machinery operators
• Actors, film and television technicians
• Tourism and food service sector employees
• Dancers and audiovisual event technicians
Special categories of beneficiaries
Additionally, insured individuals who have been assigned by temporary employment agencies to work for indirect employers in the tourism and food service sector are also entitled to the allowance. This must be evident from the economic activity code in their individual insurance account.
Deadlines and decision collection
The deadline for submitting applications is Sunday, November 30, 2025. Physical presence at DYPA Employment Promotion Centers is not required, as the entire process is conducted electronically. The relevant decision will be available through DYPA’s electronic services.
