On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the electronic platform for the seasonal benefit 2025 from DYPA began operating, offering significant financial support to workers in seasonal sectors. The program aims to support thousands of professionals with benefits reaching up to €1,375, while the application deadline extends until November 30, 2025.
Seasonal benefit 2025: How to apply for the seasonal benefit
Beneficiaries of the 2025 seasonal benefit have two available options for submitting their application. The digital process through gov.gr is the fastest solution, accessible via the path: Work and insurance > Unemployment > Special seasonal benefit DYPA.
From September 23, interested parties can also visit Citizen Service Centers (KEP) to complete the process, without the obligation to personally visit DYPA’s KPA2 offices.
Which workers qualify for the seasonal benefit
The special seasonal benefit is exclusively aimed at e-EFKA insured individuals who work in sectors with strong seasonal characteristics. Eligible professional categories include:
• Construction sector: builders, quarry workers, ceramicists, potters
• Cultural sector: band musicians, actors, film and theater technicians, typesetters, dancers
• Special sectors: forest workers, tobacco workers, shoe workers
• Tourism and catering: hotel staff, restaurant staff and related businesses
• Audiovisual production and live event technicians
• Shipbuilding and repair industry and heavy machinery operators
Additionally, the program includes employees of indirect employers in tourism and catering sectors, provided they meet the specified eligibility criteria.
Restrictions and eligibility requirements
An important restriction concerns recipients of regular unemployment benefits during the period from September 10 to November 30, 2025, who are excluded from the DYPA seasonal benefit. Simultaneous receipt of both benefits is categorically prohibited.
An exception to this rule applies to construction sector workers, particularly builders, who retain the right to simultaneously receive both benefits due to their special working conditions.
