The Public Employment Service (DYPA) has announced the start of the application period for the Special Seasonal Benefit for 2025. Online applications begin today, Wednesday September 10, at 6:00 PM, while the process through Citizens’ Service Centers (KEP) will be available from Tuesday September 23.

Amounts and details for the DYPA Special Seasonal Benefit
The DYPA Special Seasonal Benefit for 2025 ranges from 687.75 euros to 1,375.50 euros, depending on the profession and insurance days of the beneficiary. According to data from the previous year, a total of 82,800 workers received the benefit from DYPA.
It’s important to note that the Special Seasonal Benefit is not granted to those who qualify for regular unemployment benefits during the period 10/09/2025 to 30/11/2025. Construction workers are an exception, as they can receive both benefits.
Application submission process
Electronic submission of applications for the Special Seasonal Benefit is conducted through the gov.gr platform. Specifically, interested parties must follow this path: gov.gr → Work and insurance → Unemployment → DYPA special seasonal benefit.
The deadline for submitting applications expires on Sunday November 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Personal appearance at DYPA’s Employment Promotion Centers (KPA2) is not required, as decisions are received electronically.
Beneficiaries of the Special Seasonal Benefit
Beneficiaries of the benefit are workers insured with e-EFKA who practice specific seasonal professions:
• Construction workers, quarry workers, lime workers, ceramics workers, brick makers, pottery makers, forestry workers, resin collectors, tobacco workers, musicians who are members of professional unions, shoe workers, shipyard repair zone employees, machinery operators (excavating, lifting, road construction, drilling equipment), actors, cinema and television technicians, cinema operators, cinema and theater inspectors, cinema and theater cashiers, tourism and food service sector workers, emery workers, cinema theater ushers, dancers who are members of sectoral unions, live audiovisual event technicians who are members of sectoral unions
Additionally, insured workers who have been assigned by temporary employment agencies to work for indirect employers in the tourism and food service sector are also eligible, provided they meet the necessary requirements.
DYPA continues to support seasonal workers through the Special Seasonal Benefit, providing financial assistance during work interruptions.
