The hiring-departures balance for the first seven months of 2025 recorded the highest performance of all time, showing a positive sign with 319,843 new job positions, according to data from the “ERGANI” Information System. As stated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance in its announcement, this performance represents the highest achievement in the wage employment balance for the first seven months since 2001 – when recording of this specific data began – to date, surpassing last year’s record for the corresponding seven-month period of 2024, which was 304,229 job positions.
Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Niki Kerameos, stated: “The new employment record proves in the clearest way that our policies for further strengthening employment are delivering results in practice. However, we are not complacent, we continue our efforts to create more quality and stable job positions, so that the positive course of the labor market is practically reflected in citizens’ daily lives.”
