According to today’s update from the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, tomorrow Friday (29.8) all payments concerning the benefits of the Social Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity Organization (OPEKA) for the month of August will be made.
OPEKA: Friday payment of benefits for August
Specifically, the OPEKA benefits will be paid to 593,210 beneficiaries and amount to a total of 179,946,340 euros. Among the OPEKA payments are the housing benefit, child benefit, birth benefit and benefits for people with disabilities.
In detail, the following will be paid:
Housing benefit: 184,642 beneficiaries – 22,155,832 euros
Minimum guaranteed income: 161,175 beneficiaries – 37,559,959 euros
Disability benefits: 178,719 beneficiaries – 87,617,265 euros
Housing assistance benefit: 541 beneficiaries – 171,379 euros
Greek diaspora benefit: 5,149 beneficiaries – 181,420 euros
Uninsured elderly benefit, Law 1296/1982: 12,867 beneficiaries – 4,960,277 euros
Social solidarity benefit for the elderly: 22,026 beneficiaries – 9,056,628 euros
Funeral expenses: 82 beneficiaries – 65,556 euros
Birth benefit: 9,819 beneficiaries – 12,909,500 euros
Mountainous and disadvantaged areas benefit: 9 beneficiaries – 5,100 euros
Red loans: 2,707 beneficiaries – 229,225 euros
Protected children of deceased in natural disasters: 21 beneficiaries – 21,000 euros
Vulnerable debtors: 322 beneficiaries – 34,284 euros
Foster care benefit: 604 beneficiaries – 475,729 euros
Personal assistant program: 2,092 beneficiaries – 1,627,954 euros
Solidarity benefit for Greek minority in Albania: 12,427 beneficiaries – 2,862,496 euros
Professional foster parent: 8 beneficiaries – 12,736 euros
Total beneficiaries: 593,210
Total payments: 179,946,340 euros
The Child Benefit-A21, Minimum Guaranteed Income and Birth and Foster Care benefits are paid through prepaid cards.
