The Greek Tax Authority conducted the tax lottery for electronic transactions in July 2025, revealing 556 lucky taxpayers who share cash prizes ranging from €1,000 to €50,000.

How to participate
Participation in the tax lottery is automatic for those who make transactions with cards or other electronic payment methods. The number of tickets depends on the total amount of transactions cleared by banks in the previous month. Each euro spent corresponds to one ticket, with a maximum limit of €10,000 in monthly transactions.
Based on the joint ministerial decision, the tax lottery distributes a total of 556 prizes each month.
Specifically:
One lucky ticket wins €50,000
Five tickets win €20,000
Fifty tickets win €5,000
Five hundred tickets win €1,000 each
For those who spend with cards or other electronic means more than 30%, 50%, or 70% of their monthly income, the tickets they collect are doubled, tripled, or quadrupled respectively, increasing their chances of being among the winners.
