OPEKA announced that on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Social and Medical Tourism Programs, Excursion Programs, and Free Books and Theater Program will begin. The draw was conducted by OPEKA Administrator Epaminondas Atsave, in the presence of the Rural Hearth Directorate with assistance from the Organization’s IT Department. Program beneficiaries can visit the organization’s website to check the draw results.
OPEKA: The programs and what beneficiaries need to do
The program duration is from June 10, 2026 until February 28, 2027.

- Medical tourism,
- Excursion program,
- Free book provision,
- Free theater ticket provision,
From Wednesday, June 10, 2026, selected beneficiaries will be able to collect their vouchers from any KEP (Citizens’ Service Center).
Specifically:
For the Social and Medical Tourism programs, selected beneficiaries must:
- Contact early and make room reservations at their chosen contracted accommodation, which must send them a mandatory booking confirmation (voucher),
- Register themselves or through any KEP the room booking details (accommodation and stay dates), according to the above booking confirmation (voucher), in the electronic application “Room Booking Registration”, available on OPEKA’s website,
- After 30 minutes have passed from registering the booking in the electronic application, they can visit any KEP to collect their vouchers.
For the Excursion program and the free theater ticket program, selected beneficiaries can visit any KEP to collect their vouchers.
To collect vouchers, personal attendance of the direct beneficiary is required, who must bring:
a) A copy of their participation application or any document showing their Social Insurance Registration Number (AMKA),
b) Their police identity card.
According to the announcement: “For the free book program, no vouchers are collected and selected beneficiaries visit any contracted bookstore or publishing house, presenting the direct beneficiary’s police identity card to obtain books of their choice.
The Children’s Camp Program will start Monday, June 15, 2026 and last until Monday, August 31, 2026 (final departure date from camp) for typically developing children and until Thursday, September 10, 2026 (final departure date from camp) for children with disabilities of 50% and above.
For the Children’s Camp Program, beneficiaries can visit the Organization’s website to check draw results. Vouchers for selected children are printed from the special electronic application where the related application was submitted, entering the parent’s tax number and AMKA.
Under the beneficiary parent’s details appears the children’s camp program voucher, which the parent must print and present at the camp. Note that each LAE/OPEKA beneficiary parent can print only one voucher per child.
Parents choose which contracted camp they want their children to stay at. Communication and arrangements with the camp, booking places for specific periods, and all related formalities and procedures are handled by parents, without mediation or responsibility from the Organization. There is no financial contribution from beneficiaries for the Children’s Camp Program.
A. IMPORTANT NOTE
Selected beneficiaries of social-medical tourism programs, excursion programs, and free theater ticket programs must collect their vouchers by August 31, 2026 from any KEP nationwide.
Selected beneficiaries of the free book program must visit any contracted bookstore or publishing house by September 30, 2026 to obtain books of their choice.
After these dates, unused vouchers from all programs will be redistributed to applicants who weren’t selected. Selected beneficiaries who didn’t collect vouchers or books within the above deadlines cannot participate in redistribution.
B. Social – Medical tourism in Northern Evia, Regional Units of Evros, Magnesia, Karditsa, Larissa and Trikala, and islands of North and South Aegean Regions
This year, specifically for Social and Medical Tourism programs, beneficiaries can stay up to twelve (12) nights at contracted tourist accommodations and receive up to eleven (11) free simple baths at legally operating spa facilities and hydrotherapy centers in the Municipalities of Istiaia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna in Northern Evia, as well as in the Regional Units of Evros, Magnesia, Karditsa, Larissa and Trikala contracted with our Organization’s program.
On islands of the North and South Aegean Regions and in Evros Regional Unit, beneficiaries can stay with zero private contribution. Note that for financial assistance-awards programs for mothers with three or more children and scholarship awards, information will be provided in future press releases.”
