“Indeed, the social tourism platform continues to experience low response rates,” stated DYPA administrator Gianna Xormova, speaking on Parapolitika 90.1 radio during the “Opposite microphones” show with journalists Sotiris Xenakis and Vasilis Skouris.

Regarding social tourism applications, Ms. Xormova said: “More than 340,000 applications have been submitted. Yesterday alone, 60,000 applications were submitted, however we are monitoring that indeed the platform’s response rates remain low.”

“The goal is for everyone interested to submit their applications so they can be scored and the final list can be released, without anyone being left with the feeling that ‘I didn’t make it in time for technical reasons or any other reasons to submit my application.’ For this reason we have granted an extension until Sunday 3/05 evening,” she added.
“We encourage citizens not just to receive the social tourism voucher, but also to actually use it, because there is a percentage who, while deemed eligible, do not use the social tourism voucher for various reasons. I should remind you that from this year the program duration is 13 months,” she concluded.
