Applications for the Fuel Pass are being submitted from today by beneficiaries whose tax identification number ends in 1, 2, and 3. But what happens if someone misses the deadline? Here are the detailed facts following the platform crash for the Fuel Pass.
Fuel Pass: What applies to anyone who misses the deadline
The platform will remain open for all citizens, regardless of the last digit of their tax ID, from Good Friday (10/4) until 30/4.
Fuel Pass amounts start from 25 euros and reach up to 60 euros. The main factor determining the fuel subsidy amount is the primary residence. If located in mainland Greece, the amounts are as follows:
- 30 euros for motorcycles
- 50 euros for cars
In cases where the Fuel Pass application on the platform declares primary residence on islands, the amounts are set at:
- 35 euros for motorcycles
- 60 euros for cars
Those who choose to be paid through direct deposit to their bank account will receive less (minus 5 euros for motorcycles and minus 10 euros for cars).
Fuel Pass: Platform crashes again
It should be noted that a new blackout occurred for the fuel pass platform on Tuesday afternoon (7/4), with problems continuing for the 2nd day since its launch. The platform opened yesterday, Easter Monday, April 6, and from the first minutes increased traffic was recorded, resulting in the inability to submit applications at some point.
After yesterday’s problems, the application reopened today, Easter Tuesday, April 7, operating based on the ending digit of beneficiaries’ tax ID numbers. However, new confusion appears to have emerged with the Fuel Pass, as there is information that from tomorrow, Easter Wednesday, April 8, the application submission platform will open for every two tax ID endings instead of every three. An announcement from the Ministry of Digital Governance is expected this afternoon regarding whether the platform will ultimately operate with two or three tax ID endings.
