A new timeline for the duration of the war in Iran was presented by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright. Speaking on Fox News, Chris Wright stated that market disruption due to the war will only last a few more weeks. Specifically, “Donald Trump is concerned about the impact that rising energy prices will have on American consumers,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright told Fox News, noting however that only “a few weeks” of disruption in the energy market are expected.

Wright personally took responsibility for a post made on his social media account that incorrectly stated that the US Navy escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. In his interview on “America’s Newsroom,” the Secretary said the post was the result of a “miscommunication” within the department and pledged that he would personally approve future posts to prevent such incidents from happening again.
