The Central Union of Chambers of Commerce welcomes the government’s intention to substantially address the chronic pending issue concerning Swiss franc loans. According to an announcement, this specific initiative represents a significant step toward restoring a long-standing injustice that has burdened thousands of households and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The CUCC believes it is now time for this problem to be resolved in a fair and sustainable manner, in alignment with relevant regulations that have been implemented in other European countries, as well as with the guidelines of the European Union Court of Justice.
The CUCC declares its readiness to actively contribute to the process, both through submitting well-documented proposals and through the participation of its representatives in institutional consultation.
The president of the CUCC, Giannis Voutsinas, expressed his willingness and availability in a letter sent to the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, to present in detail the positions and framework of proposals of the CUCC, with the goal of finding a fair and applicable solution.
