The entitled amount will be calculated based on the dependent children declared in the A21 application for year 2026 and the total family income that beneficiaries had in tax year 2024. After submitting the current year’s Income Tax Declaration, income from tax year 2025 will be taken into account for calculating the entitled amount. It should be noted that among the prerequisites that will be checked for granting the Child Allowance is the attendance of dependent children in mandatory education – from pre-kindergarten to middle school, as well as adequate attendance.
In the A21 application, the following must be entered in the relevant fields:
– The details of the School Unit.
– The grade and Registry Number of the child attending mandatory education.
If all student details are cross-referenced successfully, the application can proceed normally. If they are not cross-referenced, a relevant note appears and the applicant is asked to attach the necessary supporting document to the electronic A21 application. To complete the application, it must be submitted definitively. An application that has been temporarily saved is considered not submitted and is not taken into account. More information about the Child Allowance can be found on the OPEKA website.
