Passenger traffic at Athens “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport increased by 4.6% compared to 2024 during June 2025, reaching 3.45 million passengers.
According to an announcement to the Athens Stock Exchange, both domestic and international passenger traffic at Athens International Airport showed growth, exceeding 2024 levels by 1.9% and 5.8% respectively.
Athens airport traffic increase – Reached 15.07 million passengers in first half of 2025
Overall, during the first six months of the year, airport traffic reached 15.07 million passengers, recording growth of 7.6%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, showed increases of 2.2% and 9.8% respectively.
The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first six months of 2025 reached 127,992, recording an increase of 6.8% compared to 2024. Domestic flights showed growth of 1.1%, while international flights increased by 10.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
