The state provides certain benefits and support programs for young people, covering education, housing and employment, aimed at providing them with financial relief.

What benefits and programs are young people entitled to
Specifically, the benefits for young people are as follows:
- Youth Pass
The Youth Pass is aimed at young people aged 18 and 19 and provides financial support of 150 euros annually, in digital form.
Basic criteria:
- Age 18 or 19 in the year of application
- Tax residence in Greece
- No income criteria required
The amount is used for cultural, tourist and transportation services, through a digital card.
- Youth entrepreneurship
Youth entrepreneurship programs aim to support young people who want to start their own business, with subsidies that can reach up to 17,500 euros.
Basic criteria:
- Age 18 to 29 years
- Unemployed or outside education/training status (per program)
- No previous business activity before joining
- Submission of business plan
Support is usually paid in installments, after the business starts.
- Save – Renovate
The “Save – Renovate for Youth” program targets young homeowners and subsidizes energy upgrades and renovations up to 22,500 euros, with subsidy rates that can reach 75%.
Basic criteria:
- Age 18 to 39 years
- Ownership and residence in primary home
- Meeting income limits
- Property that meets the program’s energy requirements
The deadline for completing interventions is April 30, 2026.
- Student Housing Allowance
The Student Housing Allowance supports students studying away from their permanent residence, offering 1,500 euros annually or 2,000 euros in case of shared accommodation.
Basic criteria:
- Enrollment in universities or vocational schools
- Studies in a city different from the family’s main residence
- Lease agreement in the student’s or parent’s name
- Meeting income and asset criteria
The application is submitted annually after filing the tax return.
