On Tuesday, July 8th at 14:00, electronic applications begin for admission to the 30 Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the academic year 2025-2026. Candidates can choose from 41 specializations with high demand in the job market.
Requirements and eligibility for DYPA SAEK participation
All holders of a High School Diploma, either General or Vocational, regardless of age, are eligible to apply. Applications for Higher Vocational Training Schools are submitted exclusively through the gov.gr platform using TAXIS codes.
The path on gov.gr is: Education → School enrollment → DYPA SAEK enrollment. Required documents include the educational certificate and police identity card, with all documents attached to the application in PDF format.
Specialization and school choices
Each candidate may select up to three training specializations in order of preference at up to two DYPA SAEK schools. The 30 Higher Vocational Training Schools provide quality initial vocational training that meets the needs of the modern economy.
Through the provision of scientific, technical, professional and practical knowledge, DYPA SAEK schools ensure trainees acquire the necessary qualifications for successful integration into the labor market.
Duration and structure of studies
Studies at Higher Vocational Training Schools last five semesters in total. The first four semesters involve theoretical and laboratory training totaling up to 1,200 teaching hours of specialization. The fifth semester includes paid Practical Training totaling 960 hours.
After successful completion of studies and initial vocational training certification exams, DYPA SAEK graduates receive a Level 5 Professional Specialization Diploma.
