The President and CEO of AKTOR Group and CEO of Atlantic SEE LNG Trade, Alexandros Exarchou met in Davos with Michael Kratsios, advisor to President Trump and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology, in the presence of US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle. The meeting took place at the USA House, which was prominently located on Promenade street, where most countries and major multinationals had their pavilions.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of the Greek economy and the importance of transporting American natural gas to northern Europe through Greece, strengthening the country’s geopolitical position.

As advisor to President Trump and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology, Kratsios oversees US policy in science and technology sectors, prioritizing new exponential technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, nuclear energy and biotechnology.
AKTOR Group, through ATLANTIC SEE LNG TRADE (in which it participates with 60% and DEPA Commercial with 40%) has signed a long-term purchase agreement with American company Venture Global for the supply of significant quantities of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States, as well as Memoranda of Understanding with state entities in Romania and Ukraine for selling them significant LNG quantities.
This represents the first long-term LNG supply agreement with a US provider in Greece’s energy history, at a time that marks the dynamic strengthening of energy cooperation between the two countries.
