The Independent Authority for Public Revenue proceeded yesterday, Thursday, January 22, with the payment of €7,647,877.31 to 57,422 eligible farmers, as part of the fifth installment refund of the excise tax on agricultural fuel. This specific payment concerns fuel purchase invoices that were issued and registered in the digital systems myDATA and eSend of the AADE, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Agricultural fuel excise tax: Which beneficiaries did not receive the refund
According to an announcement by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, a total of 726 Tax Registry Numbers were not included in the payment process due to the lack of a declared IBAN bank account. The AADE reminds farmers of the need to update their information for the smooth disbursement of refunds.
Total amount of excise tax refunds for 2025
To date, the total amount disbursed for the refund of agricultural fuel excise tax during 2025 amounts to €86,463,987.22. These payments have been distributed to 122,547 citizens, demonstrating the significant support the state provides to the agricultural sector through the excise tax refund mechanism.
Digital platform for tracking refunds
Since December 17, 2025, farmers have access to the special application “Farmers’ Excise Tax Refund 2025” through AADE’s digital portal myBusinessSupport. The platform offers complete transparency and information regarding excise tax refunds. Through the application, beneficiaries can examine in detail the diesel fuel invoices that have been taken into account for calculating the refund. Additionally, in the section “Payments of Liters of Fuel Purchases” the amounts disbursed per payment period are presented in detail, as well as the corresponding liters of agricultural fuel.
