United Group, a leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeast Europe and parent company of Nova, announced the appointment of Dr. Kim Kyllesbech Larsen as Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO), effective November 1, 2025. Dr. Larsen brings over 25 years of international experience in telecommunications and technology, along with deep expertise in designing and operating modern networks.
The new CTIO has served as a senior executive at major telecommunications groups including Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, and Ooredoo Group, where he spearheaded 5G network development and technological transformation of organizations. At T-Mobile Netherlands and Magyar Telekom, he led IT infrastructure modernization projects, created T-Infra BV (now Cellnex Netherlands) and participated in managing the sale of T-Mobile Netherlands in 2022.

Larsen’s role in United Group’s new strategy
Dr. Larsen, with studies in Physics and Mathematics from Aarhus University in Denmark, holds a PhD in Physics and has completed over 50 specialized programs at leading institutions including INSEAD, University of Colorado Boulder, and Oxford University.
He has collaborated in leadership roles with organizations across Europe and Asia, shaping strategies for investment optimization, national broadband network development, and advancing 5G and 6G technologies. He also serves on the boards of companies including Tusass A/S (Greenland) and Fiberhost (Poland).
