In a new announcement regarding a strategic move that strengthens Greece’s position as a regional energy hub, the AKTOR Group and DEPA Commercial have jointly proceeded. The joint establishment of the company ATLANTIC – SEE LNG TRADE S.A. focuses on the purchase, import, and trading of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Greece and abroad.
Managing Director of ATLANTIC – SEE LNG TRADE S.A. and head of the AKTOR Group, Mr. Alexandros Exarchou, noted that the new partnership marks the Group’s entry into the energy sector, within the framework of its broader transformation: “International and geopolitical realignments create historic opportunities that drive us to turn even more towards the energy market. The strategic partnership with DEPA Commercial highlights Greece’s role in Europe’s energy landscape and leverages the new opportunities brought by economic conditions.”
For his part, Chairman of the new company and Managing Director of DEPA Commercial, Mr. Konstantinos Xifaras, emphasized that the initiative “is part of DEPA Commercial’s outward-looking strategy and its expansion into the natural gas markets of Southeast Europe,” stressing that it is a “strategic step that strengthens the company’s export orientation and upgrades Greece’s role as a reliable energy hub.”

The AKTOR Group and DEPA Commercial have proceeded with the establishment of ATLANTIC – SEE LNG TRADE S.A., which aims to purchase and import liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Greece and further sell it outside Greece. Within its business strategy framework, it is already examining and evaluating suitable business collaboration opportunities to achieve its objectives.
Mr. Konstantinos Xifaras was appointed Chairman of the Board, Mr. Alexandros Exarchou as Managing Director, and Messrs. Anastasios Aranitis, Konstantinos Adamopoulos, and Konstantinos Karagiannakos as members. In the new company, the AKTOR Group participates with a 60% stake and DEPA Commercial with a 40% stake, respectively.
